Rosie O'Grady's Pub & Restaurant
Soi 7 Pattaya Beach
Rosie's is an Irish theme pub where the theme is having a good time in comfortable surroundings.
It's an upmarket air-conditioned bar with draught Guinness as well as Kilkenny, John Smiths, Strongbow, Heinenken and Tiger all on
draught too. The Guiness is 180 baht a pint, which is good value not only for Pattaya, but anywhere in Thailand generally.
The bar is clearly divided into two sections, the nice Irish pub theme and the non-smoking restaurant (gets my vote). There is a wood-panelled
theme which gives the pub a warm and welcoming appearance.
The whole enterprise was started some eight years ago by the original owner Bill from the black country in England. (That's the town of
Wolverhampton for those of you not in the know.) It's now been passed onto his son Darren, who is doing a splendid job of giving customers what
they want - value for money and an enjoyable time in a pleasant establishment.
The staff wear a smart green uniform in keeping with the Irish theme. There are various daily specials on the menu - a wonderful selection of
English food as well as a Thai menu too.
There are large screen TVs to watch sport, or even better, music videos at a nice soft volume level.
Upstairs in Rosie's there are decent rooms available for rent on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. Prices start at only 650 baht per
night.
So if you want a friendly place to stay with reasonable prices for food and accomodation right in the heart of Pattaya - look no further.
