Ace Cafe & Beer Bar
Jomtien Beach - an elephant keepers delight

The Ace Cafe in Jomtien Beach is more a cafe which also happens to sell beer. The mainstay of the Ace is the food.ace cafe jomtien beach thailand ex- elephant keepers

Martin and his wife Pon, the owners, have always strived to produce good old-fashioned English food which is value for money, especially given the size of the no-nonsense portions.

No miniscule sized amounts here, it's full-on platefuls you'll get here in the traditional style of Mum's home cooking!

One of the Ace's best known points is the sign outside boasting that "The best chef in Jomtien works here!" And very true is is too, he has been taught well by Martin to cook the food to perfection.

Also on offer is a Thai menu, so if you're entertaining a young lady for example, you can have Lamb chops, a full English breakfast, or even that traditional English favourite of Indian curry - with chips or rice of course! All washed down with a mug of PG Tips tea or John Smith's Beer. Ah bliss, what more could you want?

Your lady can select one of the many, many Thai options avaiable from the menu and you can eat the "Tinglish" combination together - how romantic!

If you're into wild animals then make sure you make the aquaintance of Martin, he's into them too. We don't mean the sometimes fiery Thai staff at all! No, Martin has had a lifetimes experience in the Zoo world, he is an ex elephant keeper from England.

So have a chat with Martin and let him enlighten you about how to get an elephant to jump through a hoop - nah, we're only joking about that bit - elephants can't jump very well!
